‘Hatchlings’ 2012 Flight of Fancy Series
During the period 1994 – 98 I completed all but one subject of my Diploma of Art in Ceramics and finally returned to finish off my photography assignments in 2004, officially completing my Diploma!
Due to moving away from a kiln and being commissioned to paint on canvas at the time, I had a significant break from ceramics (a decade). Ever since I’ve been yearning to get back on the wheel so to speak and whilst renovating the old dairy into a studio we also included a workable area for ceramics and I purchased a second hand kiln on ebay. I now have a couple of wheels, running water… even a window!
I’ve begun playing with some smaller pieces and now need to really put in the hours to get back to where I had left off and even more to evolve further! So stay tuned…
